At dip! Swim, we extend our societal contributions by offering dip! Senior Wellness to the pioneers of Singapore. By 2030, it’s projected that one in four Singapore’s population will be aged 65 and above. Muscle mass gradually declines inevitably as the body ages. Elders between 65 to 80 will generally experience an accelerated loss which will make it harder for them to perform daily activities, thus, increasing the risk of falls and injuries. dip! Senior Wellness programme for the elderly focuses on retaining strength, balance and flexibility through a hybrid of gentle aquatic and land based exercises.
Unlike our programs for the little ones, dip! Senior Wellness sessions are designed to enhance mobility, range of motion, and fitness maintenance. In addition, we incorporate cognitive tasks to support both the body and mind concurrently. While some seniors participate in hydrotherapy or physiotherapy in the water, others simply enjoy the buoyancy and freedom of movement that aquatic exercise provides.
